It is vital that you do not ignore the attempts made to contact you. The problem will not go away if you ignore it, it will typically get worse and further costs could be added to the debt owed.
More importantly, hiding away and ignoring these things will most often lead to stress and sometimes worse. If you simply cannot pay, we would have no way of knowing unless you talk to us.
Communication and keeping in touch is crucial and without doubt, once you start to engage with us, the stress will ease.
In the first instance we will ensure that any disputes you may have over the amount owed are fully looked into and the debt amount verified correctly.
If you are unable to settle in full, we will work with you to set up an affordable plan, acceptable to both you and the lender for whom we act.
If we are collecting arrears on your account, talk to us and let us see what we can do. Not talking and refusing contact will normally lead to your Agreement being terminated following which only the full balance would be accepted, or the goods (assets) being recovered.
Should repossession become necessary, again avoiding us or trying to prevent recovery is unwise. Costs will invariably increase and the matter could escalate to Court Action or in some instances, be reported to Police.
Quiet clearly communication and dealing with the inevitable is always the best way to handle these matters. It will save you time, stress and in all probability money by keeping costs to a minimum.
